Dr. Khaled Benkrid has been the Head of the ARM Worldwide University Programme since January 2013, based in Cambridge, England. Prior to that, he was Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Electronic Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to his research interests in the areas of high performance efficient computing and electronic design automation, Dr. Benkrid is active in the development of new pedagogical approaches to teaching computer science, engineering and entrepreneurship. Khaled holds a PhD in Computer Science, a Master degree in Electronic Engineering, and an executive MBA. He is a Chartered UK Engineer and a Senior Member of IEEE.

摘要：In this talk, Dr. Benkrid will talk about lifelong learning and the importance of close collaboration between universities and schools, industry and governments to equip the next generation of engineers and entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to compete in the modern economy. In particular, Dr. Benkrid will present IoT as a particular opportunity for a new industrial revolution and discuss ways in which China and the rest of the world can capitalise on this opportunity.
